The Tech Policy Press Fellowship Program supports independent reporting, analysis, and commentary at the intersection of technology and democracy. It is run by Tech Policy Press, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit media and community venture. Fellows pursue their own projects over a year-long, part-time term while working remotely as independent contractors, and join an international cohort for feedback and exchange. Since its launch in 2023, the program has supported 25 fellows across three cohorts, drawn from 11 countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Ireland, Kenya, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Vietnam. Past fellows have written on AI governance, digital rights, tech regulation, and the entanglement of state and corporate power.
