Talent Scholarship

Benefits & funding

• Exemption from tuition fees and textbook fees.
• A monthly stipend of QR 1,000.
• Guaranteed admission to the desired program after meeting its minimum admission requirements, except Medicine and Dental Medicine.
• International recipients also receive shared student housing with campus transport, one round-trip air ticket each year, and a residence permit under Qatar University sponsorship.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be non-Qatari students seeking admission to a bachelor’s program and must hold a high school certificate or equivalent.
• A minimum 80% high school average is required, including at least 80% in the final Grade 11 transcript and the first-semester Grade 12 transcript; applicants who have completed Grade 12 submit the final Grade 12 certificate instead.
• Applicants must meet the minimum admission requirements of their intended academic program.
• Eligible talent areas are scientific research, technology and innovation, literature, acting, media, and athletics. The acting route is for male applicants.
• For sports talent, swimming is listed for male applicants only; football, volleyball, basketball, padel, and table tennis are listed for both male and female applicants.
• Applicants must provide at least two recommendation letters from recognized entities connected to the talent area, a portfolio letter with recent achievements and supporting files, and must pass the committee interview. Athletic applicants must include match footage; shortlisted sports applicants must later submit medical forms and pass a Qatar University fitness examination.
• Recipients may not hold another scholarship at the same time, except international students where stated terms apply, and a previous recipient of the full benefits may not receive them again for a new degree.
• To continue, recipients must maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA out of 4.0, complete at least 12 credit hours each semester, remain registered through graduation, represent the university in the talent area, and continue developing the talent.

Application process

   Complete the Qatar University undergraduate admission application and the required admission documents; the admission application carries a non-refundable QR 200 fee.

   During the announced scholarship period, select the Talent Scholarship on the “Scholarship Application” page.

   Upload the required school records, at least two recommendation letters, the portfolio letter, and links to supporting evidence such as videos.

   If shortlisted, attend the committee interview and complete any sports-specific medical and fitness steps. Qatar University sends conditional and final decisions by email.

   Fall 2026 online scholarship applications and document uploads opened.
