The Taiwan-Europe Semiconductor Scholarship Program funds students from four Central European countries admitted to semiconductor-related master’s or PhD programs at National Taiwan University (NTU) in Taipei.

There is no separate scholarship application: eligible degree applicants are considered automatically. The 1st round for 2027 September entry is open now, with a 2nd round in December.

Benefits & funding

  • One economy round-trip flight, up to NTD 100,000 (EUR 3,125).
  • Tuition waived up to NTD 60,000 (EUR 1,875) per semester; other fees are the recipient’s.
  • Monthly stipend: NTD 30,000 (EUR 940) for master’s, NTD 40,000 (EUR 1,250) for PhD students.
  • Up to 2 years (master’s) or 4 years (PhD); renewal needs a yearly GPA of 2.7 (program page) or 3.38 (current-student page).

Eligibility

  • Citizenship of Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Poland or Slovakia.
  • Admission to an NTU master’s or PhD program related to semiconductors.
  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) for master’s programs; a master’s degree (or equivalent) for PhD programs.
  • No age, gender, residence or work-experience requirement is published.

Application process

    Choose semiconductor-related NTU master’s or PhD programs and check each department’s recommendation-letter, exam or interview rules.

    Apply online by November 5, 2026 (1st round) or January 19, 2027 (2nd round), 4 p.m. GMT+8; first-time applicants pay NTD 2,000 or USD 80 per department.
  3. 3
    Eligible applicants are considered for the scholarship automatically.
