Official Page

Solana Foundation Funding is a rolling program for builders, creators, founders, and other applicants developing public goods for the Solana ecosystem. The Foundation supports open-source or freely usable community work, including novel proofs of concept.

Standard milestone-based grants target public goods; convertible grants cover public-good projects with a commercial component and may convert to investment if agreed milestones are reached. Applicants carry out the funded work within their own projects rather than relocating to a fixed host site.

Benefits & funding

  • Standard grants provide milestone-based funding for public-good work; the official page does not publish a fixed award amount.
  • Convertible grants support public-good projects with a commercial component and may convert to investment after milestones such as a priced funding round or specified growth objectives.

Eligibility

  • Individuals, independent teams, governments, nonprofits, companies, universities, and academics may apply.
  • A standard-grant project should make a significant open-source contribution, provide a meaningful free community offering, or in some cases demonstrate a novel proof of concept.
  • Primarily commercial projects generally do not qualify for a standard grant but may be considered for a convertible grant.
  • The proposal should explain why the work belongs on Solana and how it benefits the wider ecosystem.
