Fulbright Denmark offers this Scholar Grant to U.S. academics in any field. Applications go through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, administered by IIE.
Grantees spend one semester as visiting professors at a Danish university, university college or school of applied science, combining teaching and research. Sustainability, space and life sciences are Fulbright Denmark’s focus areas, but all fields are supported.
Benefits & funding
- DKK 200,000 (about US$31,000, per the award listing) for one semester: four to five months on Fulbright Denmark’s page, 4–5.5 months on the award listing.
- Fulbright Denmark can add a supplementary grant for up to three grantee families with children each academic year.
Eligibility
- U.S. citizens by the deadline; permanent residence is not enough.

- A PhD or other terminal degree; early-career, mid-career and senior academics may apply.
