The American University of Beirut Faculty of Health Sciences offers this MPH scholarship with funding from TDR, which is hosted at the World Health Organization. It develops implementation-research capacity concerning neglected tropical diseases, malaria, tuberculosis and COVID-19.
Recipients study full-time in Beirut and choose Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Management and Policy, or Health Promotion and Community Health. The latest detailed call was for 2021–22, and AUB states that the TDR scholarship is not available for 2026–27.

Eligibility
- Be both a national and resident of a low- or middle-income WHO Eastern Mediterranean country: Afghanistan, Djibouti, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia or Yemen.
- Be no older than 35.
- Hold a recognized bachelor’s degree with at least a 2.7 or 75 overall average and at least a 3.2 or 80 average in the major, or hold a recognized graduate degree with at least an 80 average.
- Meet AUB’s English requirement through the EEE, TOEFL or IELTS.
- Apply as a new, full-time MPH student and receive regular admission to the Graduate Public Health Program; currently enrolled students are not eligible.
