Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships — Bachelor's Scholarship

Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships fund first-year students in regular, full-time degree programmes at recognised institutions across India. The 2026–27 cycle plans to select 5,000 scholars on a merit-cum-means basis.

Each scholar receives up to ₹2 lakh over the course of the degree, paid once a year and renewable while they keep good academic standing. Selection rests on a mandatory online aptitude test, the applicant’s academic record and household income.

Scholars also join a development programme of workshops, mentoring and a scholar and alumni network. Reliance Foundation says more than 33,000 students have received its scholarships to date.

Benefits & funding

Up to ₹2 lakh (INR 200,000) in total over the undergraduate degree.
Paid as an annual grant once per academic year, by direct transfer to the scholar’s own bank account.
Can be spent on tuition, hostel fees, a laptop, academic books, and courses or learning resources; no receipts are needed, but scholars file an Annual Scholar Report with a Statement of Utilisation.
Renewable for each year of the degree for scholars who stay in regular, full-time study, pass their exams, move up to the next year, keep good academic standing and follow the scholarship terms.
Leadership and soft-skills workshops, expert interactions and mentoring, volunteering opportunities and scholar events.
Membership of the Reliance Foundation Scholar and Alumni Community at no cost.
No fee at any stage, including the aptitude test; scholars may work while studying.

Eligibility

Indian citizens residing in India.
Passed Class 12 with at least 60% marks; Class 12 completed abroad counts if every other condition is met, and a diploma after Class 10 does not replace Class 12.
Enrolled in the first year (academic year 2026–27) of a regular, full-time undergraduate degree in any stream, lasting three years or more.
The institution must be in India and be NAAC-accredited or UGC-recognised.
Household income, counting parents’ income only, of ₹15 lakh a year or less; households earning below ₹2.5 lakh a year get preference.
Not eligible: students who started their degree in 2025–26 or earlier; online, distance, remote or other non-regular study; two-year or six-year degrees; degrees taken outside India.
CA or CS students qualify only if they are also in the first year of a regular, full-time undergraduate degree such as a B.Com., BBA or B.Sc.
No age limit.
One application per person; the aptitude test is compulsory and may be taken only once.

Application process

Complete the registration form on the Reliance Foundation Scholarships website, then open the portal link sent by email and log in with your mobile number and a one-time password.

Fill in the online form (about 30 minutes) and upload a passport-size photo, proof of permanent address, Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets, a bonafide certificate from your institution showing your programme and year, family income proof from the relevant authority, and a disability certificate if applicable; DigiLocker can pull some documents.

Pick an aptitude test date and language, then submit the application and documents by 11:59 pm IST on 5 October 2026.

Add your bank account and PAN details in the portal by 18 October 2026.

Take the remotely proctored online aptitude test in your assigned slot: 60 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, split evenly across verbal, analytical and logical, and numerical ability (students with disabilities get 30 extra minutes).

Shortlisted applicants go through document verification and evaluation before final selection.
