The Refugee Academic Futures Scholarships support students with lived experience of displacement to pursue graduate study at the University of Oxford. This record covers the one-year, full-time Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government in Oxford.
The latest scholarship information confirms the 2026–27 intake; Oxford has not yet published Refugee Academic Futures terms for 2027–28. MPP applications for 2027–28 open in September 2026, so prospective candidates should follow the displacement-status route while awaiting updated scholarship terms.
Benefits & funding
- Full University of Oxford course fees for the recipient’s full fee-liability period.
- A grant toward living costs for the full scholarship period.
- Opportunities for mentoring plus tailored support before arrival, during study, and after completion.
Eligibility
- Applicants must have been displaced within or beyond their home country because of conflict, persecution, or other serious human-rights violations or deprivations.
- For the MPP route, applicants must hold an offer for the one-year, full-time Oxford Master of Public Policy.
- Applicants must face barriers to continuing their education and have limited financial support for university study.
- Applicants must not already have completed a degree at the same master’s level.
- There is no nationality or residency restriction and no fixed work-experience or age requirement; MPP experience guidance is a preference, not a hard gate.
