Re-Earth Initiative Climate Policy Fellowship for Indigenous Youth

The Re-Earth Initiative Climate Policy Fellowship for Indigenous Youth is a 10-month capacity-building and policy-engagement program. Its inaugural cohort runs from March through December 2026 and selects four fellows from across seven sociocultural regions.

Fellows follow one of four negotiation tracks and build skills for meaningful participation in international climate negotiations under the UNFCCC. The program combines regular virtual training with online or potentially in-person engagement at SB 64 in Bonn and COP 31 in Antalya.

The 2026 application period is closed, and the host has not published a next opening date or fixed recurrence.

A USD 1,500 stipend, paid quarterly in line with program responsibilities.

Logistical coordination before, during, and after conference engagement.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Indigenous youth aged 18–30 at the time of application.
Indigenous identity is based on self-identification and community belonging; formal documentation is not required.
Applicants must demonstrate a meaningful connection and accountability to their People, Nation, or community.
No nationality, residency, education, gender, or stated minimum-experience restriction is published.
Selected fellows must commit to regular virtual training and coordination meetings and to online or in-person participation in SB 64 and COP 31.
