RAIIn (Rural Access to Impact Innovations) is a market access facility run by the Indian incubator Villgro for climate-smart agriculture startups that already sell a product. Villgro connects each enterprise to rural distribution channels and to financiers who lend to the farmers buying it, then builds a market access plan around that enterprise.
The facility sits inside Villgro’s channel development work, next to its healthcare counterpart MAP-Health. Villgro was founded in 2001 by Paul Basil and reports 300+ startups incubated and Rs 671 million of seed funding deployed.
Enterprises are not relocated and there is no residential cohort. The work happens in the Indian markets where the product has to sell, with Villgro’s partners covering last-mile distribution and customer credit. The program page currently shows applications closed, and Villgro publishes no calendar of intakes.

- Enterprises that need end-user financing, or financing through Farmer Producer Organisations, so customers can buy.
- At least a few completed commercial sales; pre-revenue ideas fall outside the criteria.
- Focus areas: agriculture, climate action, clean energy, feeds and inputs, crop advisory, post harvest, renewable energy, and primary and secondary processing innovation.
- Villgro states no nationality or founder-level requirement. The distribution and financing network RAIIn opens sits in India, and Villgro’s incubation form asks whether the enterprise is based in India and how it is registered.

- 5Wait for Villgro to screen the application. The RAIIn page shows applications closed, so a submission now enters Villgro’s general incubation pipeline.
