The QF Merit-Based Scholarship is run by Qatar Foundation for high-achieving undergraduates at Education City universities, including eligible Georgetown University in Qatar students. Applicants must already be studying full time in Education City and have completed two semesters or one academic year.

The award supports students continuing their bachelor’s studies in Doha and may be held in the sophomore, junior or senior year. Selection is highly competitive, and Georgetown notes that only a limited number of awards are available.

Eligibility

  • Be a full-time undergraduate who has completed one year, or two semesters, at an Education City branch campus.
  • Hold a minimum overall GPA of 3.8 for the Georgetown University in Qatar route.
  • Provide at least two recommendation letters, including one from a professor and one from an academic dean.
  • Take the Arabic language placement test and complete any classes required by the evaluation.
  • The official pages publish no separate nationality, residency, gender, age or work-experience restriction.
