The Professor Sir James Ball Endowed Scholarship Programme supports one candidate joining the London Business School MBA in London. Lady Lindsay Ball funded the programme in memory of former LBS Principal Sir James Ball.

The MBA scholarship recognises academic excellence, strength of character and leadership potential. Eligible MBA candidates are considered automatically, so there is no separate scholarship application.

Application process

    Complete the online application for the August 2027 London Business School MBA intake in one of its three annual application rounds.

    Submit the required MBA materials, including the essays, one-page CV, referee details, valid GMAT or GRE score, university transcripts and, when required, proof of English ability.

    Pay the £200 MBA application fee unless an LBS exemption applies.
  4. 4
    Attend an interview if selected; the Admissions Committee then issues its decision.
  5. 5
    No separate scholarship form is required because all eligible candidates are considered automatically.

    Applications opened for the August 2027 MBA intake.

  2. One of three annual deadlines, 17:00 UK time

    Submit the complete MBA application.

  3. After application review

    Selected candidates are invited to interview.

  4. After interview

    The Admissions Committee issues an offer, rejection or waitlist decision.
