The University of Oslo’s Department of Media and Communication is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (position code SKO 1352) to work on the project “EU Kids Online Norway.” The role sits within the Centre for Studies of Children, Youth, and Media and connects to the international, interdisciplinary EU Kids Online network of over 150 researchers across 35 countries, directed by Professor Elisabeth Staksrud. The fellow designs and runs an independent research project on children, youth, and media, and helps build the wider research environment through seminars, collaboration, and dissemination. The post is a fixed-term salaried employment in Oslo, Norway, not a scholarship.

- Salaried position code 1352, annual salary NOK 595,000–677,000 depending on competence and experience (2% is deducted for the State Pension Fund).

Eligibility
- A PhD or equivalent in media and communication, sociology, psychology, education, childhood studies, or another relevant field; the doctoral dissertation must be submitted for evaluation by the deadline, and appointment depends on the defence being approved.
- The proposed research project must be closely connected to EU Kids Online Norway.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
