Penguin Random House runs this paid remote internship across its Adult, Children’s, and corporate divisions. Summer interns spend 10 weeks learning through work in publishing functions such as editorial, marketing, publicity, design, finance, legal, technology, and operations.

The Summer 2027 application period is scheduled for September 28 through October 2, 2026, but no roles are currently posted. Applicants apply to individual roles, then may progress through an HR interview, a supervisor interview, and an offer.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Applicants must reside in the United States throughout the internship and be eligible to work in the United States; nationality itself is not restricted.
  • Applicants should be ready to work full time now or within one year and may be rising seniors, college graduates, or otherwise workforce ready.
  • No college degree is required.
