Peking University Scholarship for International Students — Bachelor's Scholarship

Peking University established this scholarship in 2012 to attract international students to its undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Recipients study in person at PKU campuses in China.

Undergraduate candidates are considered after admission without a separate scholarship application. Graduate candidates apply separately after submitting an application to a full-time self-funded PKU degree program.

Benefits & funding

Full or partial tuition waiver.
A living stipend and medical insurance.
Support lasts four years for undergraduates, two to three years for master’s students, and four years for doctoral students.
Renewal requires passing an annual scholarship review.

Eligibility

Meet PKU’s admission requirements for international students and apply to an eligible full-time degree program.
Graduate candidates must first submit an application to a full-time self-funded PKU program.
Graduate candidates must not receive another scholarship and, for the 2026 cycle, could not be joint-training candidates.
The scholarship covers undergraduate, master’s and doctoral study; relevant prior qualifications depend on the degree admission route.

Apply to the relevant PKU degree program through the International Student Service System.

Undergraduate applicants do not submit a separate scholarship form; PKU considers admitted students on merit.

Graduate applicants select Scholarship Application, then Application for Prospective Students, and upload official transcripts and supporting documents.

PKU’s scholarship review committee evaluates applications and emails successful recipients.
