The Overbrook Foundation offers this fellowship to graduate students interested in philanthropy, democracy, and reproductive rights in the United States. The fellow works with the Human Rights Program team and senior leadership on research, grantmaking strategy, grantee assessment, policy monitoring, case studies, and philanthropy operations.
The 2026 placement is based in New York and runs in hybrid format from mid-September through mid-December. The Foundation focuses its US human-rights work on defending democracy and advancing reproductive health, rights, and justice.
Benefits & funding
- Stipend of US$2,200 per month for three months.

Eligibility
- Applicants must be current graduate students or have completed a graduate degree within the previous six months.
- The graduate degree may be in progress or recently completed; public policy, human rights, or an equivalent field is preferred rather than required.
- Applicants must be in the New York area and able to work in the Foundation’s Midtown office one to two days each week from mid-September through mid-December.
- Applicants need demonstrated interest, academic work, or professional experience in a relevant program area, together with strong research, analytical, communication, and document-preparation skills.
