Official Page

The Ontario Graduate Scholarship supports academic excellence in graduate study at Ontario’s publicly assisted universities. At Rotman, it is jointly supported by the school, the Ontario government, and the University of Toronto, with an estimated three to five awards for Full-Time and joint MBA students.

Recipients hold the award while enrolled full-time at Rotman in Toronto. For the 2026–2027 competition, eligible Full-Time MBA cohorts graduate in 2027 or 2028, and incoming Full-Time MBA recipients select September as their award start session.

Benefits & funding

  • CAD 5,000 per term for two or three consecutive terms, worth up to CAD 15,000 over one year.
  • Incoming Full-Time MBA recipients are paid across the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms; returning students are paid across Summer, Fall, and Winter.

Eligibility

  • Applicants to Rotman’s master’s-level competition must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons when they apply; the scholarship does not impose a separate place-based residency rule.
  • Applicants must register and remain full-time in an eligible Rotman graduate program; for 2026–2027, eligible Full-Time MBA students graduate in 2027 or 2028.
  • Applicants with two years or fewer of graduate study need at least an A- average in each of the last two completed years; those with more than two years need at least an A- across all completed graduate courses.
  • Applicants must be in good standing with OSAP and Canada Student Loans and must remain within the two-year master’s-level OGS maximum and six-year lifetime maximum for government awards.
  • OGS cannot be held concurrently with another listed government award.
