The Olimpiada de Neurociencias 2026 is organized by Universidad Favaloro’s Faculty of Human and Behavioral Sciences with its University Extension Secretariat. It promotes the study of the brain and cognitive neuroscience among secondary-school students across Argentina.
The first stage is an individual online exam. The next three stages take place in person at the university and progress through a written exam, a team clinical-case task, and an individual final; the winner can advance to the International Brain Bee World Championship.
Benefits & funding
- Participation is free, while contestants cover their own travel, accommodation, and meals for the in-person stages.
- First place receives a full one-year scholarship for an undergraduate program in the host faculty.
- Second place receives a half scholarship for one year, and third place receives a scholarship covering the entrance fee for an undergraduate program in the faculty.
- Other finalists receive special mentions.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be regular students in either of the final two years of secondary school in Argentina when the competition takes place.
- A school authority must submit one pre-registration form per contestant.
- Each contestant must provide identity-document copies, proof of regular-student status, and signed parental authorization for participation and image use.

Application process
