NVIDIA Research runs this annual fellowship for PhD students whose research advances accelerated computing. Fellows receive up to US$60,000 through their university and work with NVIDIA researchers.
Before the nine-month award year, each fellow completes a required in-person summer internship at an NVIDIA research office. Applications for the 2027–2028 fellowship are open to PhD students worldwide until 30 October 2026.

Eligibility
- PhD students of any nationality; international students are eligible.
- First PhD year completed before applying; exceptions only with substantial prior research, and rarely successful.
- Major in computer science, computer engineering, system architecture, electrical engineering or a related field, with active thesis research.
- Full-time enrolment through the nine-month award year, with no graduation before it ends; your university must administer the award.
- Available for the in-person summer internship at an NVIDIA research office in the United States, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Israel, Taiwan or Singapore.
- Full-time NVIDIA employees and immediate family of NVIDIA employees cannot apply; past and current fellows may reapply.

Application process
