The NUS International Undergraduate Scholarship supports exceptional freshmen entering a full-time undergraduate degree at the National University of Singapore. It is available to citizens of every country except Singapore, and candidates are considered through their NUS undergraduate admission application.
Recipients study in person in Singapore. The scholarship is tenable for the normal candidature period and may be transferred across eligible programmes.
Benefits & funding
- 100% of subsidised undergraduate tuition fees after the MOE Tuition Grant. Recipients must accept the Tuition Grant.
- S$5,800 annual living allowance.
- S$1,750 one-time computer allowance at enrolment.
- S$5,000 annual accommodation allowance.
- Renewal each semester requires a GPA of at least 3.5 or, for Dentistry, Law and Medicine, grades within the top 80% of the cohort, plus good conduct.
- The MOE Tuition Grant carries a three-year work obligation with a Singapore-registered company after graduation. Dentistry and Medicine recipients have service bonds of five and six years respectively.
Eligibility
- Be a citizen of any country except Singapore.
- Apply as a freshman to a full-time NUS undergraduate degree programme; transfer applicants from local or overseas universities are not eligible.
- Have outstanding high school results, strong leadership qualities and potential, and an outstanding co-curricular record.
- Meet the admissions requirements for the applicant’s high school qualification.
- The Bachelor of Science and University of Melbourne Doctor of Veterinary Medicine concurrent degree programme is excluded.
