Official Page

NTU’s International Degree Students Scholarship supports international applicants to bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs based in Taipei. Applicants request scholarship consideration within the same online application used for degree admission, with no separate scholarship materials.

Admission and scholarship decisions are independent. The currently open route is February 2027 entry for graduate programs; NTU has also published two later application rounds for September 2027 entry.

Benefits & funding

  • Tuition and miscellaneous-fee relief is capped at TWD 100,000 per semester.
  • Recipients receive a TWD 8,000 monthly living stipend.
  • The award may continue for the degree program’s standard duration.
  • Continuation requires an annual overall GPA of at least 3.38.
  • The tuition award excludes pass-through charges, thesis-advising fees, insurance, accommodation, internet use, credit fees, and related costs.

Eligibility

  • International degree applicants may seek the scholarship for bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral study.
  • Applicants must qualify for NTU’s international-student route: foreign nationals qualify directly, while dual or former R.O.C. nationals and certain Hong Kong or Macao permanent residents face additional nationality, household-registration, and overseas-residence conditions.
  • Routes requiring continuous overseas residence generally require six years, or eight years for medicine, dentistry, and Chinese medicine.
  • Applicants already confirmed for a Taiwan Scholarship must not apply for this NTU scholarship.
  • The open February 2027 admission round is limited to graduate programs.
