Nigeria National Brain Bee — Course / Training

The Nigeria National Brain Bee is the country’s affiliated route into the International Brain Bee for secondary-school students. Nigeria appears on the IBB list of active participating countries, with Obi Augustine named as coordinator.

Brain Bees commonly progress from local competition to a national round, and the Nigerian national champion can represent the country at the IBB World Championship. National chapters set their own formats and registration rules, so applicants must obtain Nigeria-specific instructions from the listed coordinator.

Benefits & funding

The national winner qualifies to represent Nigeria at the IBB World Championship.
IBB offers an official, free Brain Bee Bootcamp for participants at local, regional, and national levels.
At the World Championship, all competitors receive a certificate; the top three receive medals and awards of USD 3,000, USD 2,000, and USD 1,000 respectively.

Eligibility

Applicants must be secondary-school students participating through the Brain Bee route for their country of residence; for this chapter, that is Nigeria.
The IBB says Brain Bees are typically for ages 13–19, but Nigeria’s chapter sets its own participation rules; a national champion may not be older than 19 for the World Championship.
A student may enter only one Local Brain Bee and one National Brain Bee in a year and may not also enter the IYNA Virtual Brain Bee.
No nationality restriction is stated; eligibility is tied to residence.
