• Current government-official status and formal nomination by the applicant’s government.
• A bachelor’s degree completed by February 28, 2026, plus the university’s admission requirements.
• Strong spoken and written English and sufficient physical and mental health for study in South Korea.
• Previous recipients of a Korean-government graduate-degree scholarship and former KOICA scholars whose award was cancelled are ineligible; a prior Korean-government bachelor’s scholarship does not by itself bar a master’s application.
• Being under 40 is a recommendation, not a hard eligibility gate. Applicants applying through Peru must be public officials with more than two years of relevant program-related experience.

Application process

   Obtain government nomination and prepare the KOICA forms, passport copy, academic documents, and local-office requirements.

   Submit the package to the relevant KOICA country office or Korean Embassy by its local deadline; the 2026 deadlines differed by country.

   Complete the KOICA-country-office or embassy interview.

   If nominated through the KOICA round, submit the Hanyang University application package for document review.

   Complete the local medical examination and the university interview or test.
6. 6
   Successful candidates submit originals, arrange the study visa and required vaccinations, travel to South Korea, and pass the arrival medical examination.

2. December 15, 2025

   Pakistan Economic Affairs Division’s nomination deadline for the 2026 cycle.

3. Hanyang University screening, medical examination, and interview period.

   April–June 2026

4. Final acceptance and visa preparation.

   July 2026

5. Arrival in South Korea and residential program start.

   August 25, 2026

6. Residential program ends and participants depart.
