The IBSA Foundation for Scientific Research funds this annual scholarship for students in the first or second year of the USI Master of Medicine. USI’s Faculty of Biomedical Sciences administers applications and an award committee appointed by IBSA Foundation and USI makes the decisions.
The scholarship supports medical study at USI in Lugano during the 2026–2027 academic year. The award is applied directly as a reduction of the spring semester fee.
Benefits & funding
- Each scholarship provides CHF 2,000 for one academic year, deducted from the spring semester fee.
- The scholarship may be renewed once during the Master of Medicine.
- It cannot be combined with other scholarships or study grants provided by USI.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be regularly enrolled in the first or second year of the USI Master of Medicine.
- A recipient who discontinues the degree loses the scholarship benefit.
- The call states no nationality, residency, age, gender, or work-experience restriction.
