BI Norwegian Business School offers this entrance scholarship to students admitted to an MSc at its Bergen campus. For the 2026 intake, Bergen lists MSc pathways in Finance and Leadership and Organisational Psychology.

It supports strong international candidates beginning their first master’s degree. Selection is based on academic merit, and recipients study in person in Bergen, Norway.

Benefits & funding

  • Full tuition fees for up to two years.
  • Continuation requires 30 ECTS each semester and a minimum cumulative B average after every semester.
  • Recipients must be prepared to serve as BI Ambassadors in recruitment and study-environment activities.
  • BI awards no more than one scholarship to each applicant.

Eligibility

  • Hold international citizenship and not be resident in Norway.
  • Have a minimum overall GPA of 4.0 on the ECTS scale; BI converts grades from international education.
  • Be admitted to an MSc programme at the Bergen campus beginning in Autumn 2026.
  • Be seeking a first master’s degree.
  • Applicants treated as domestic for scholarship purposes are ineligible, including international citizens who completed a bachelor’s degree in Norway or qualify for Norwegian tuition reduction or a Lånekassen student loan.
  • Meet the admission requirements for the chosen MSc. Where BI’s testing rules apply, the required GMAT or GRE and English test, or an approved waiver, must be completed before the scholarship deadline.

Application process

    Choose an eligible Bergen MSc and submit a complete admission application through BI’s online portal.
  2. 2
    Prepare a CV and a scholarship letter of no more than one page explaining why the applicant should be considered.
  3. 3
    Combine the CV and letter into one PDF and upload it in the Scholarship section with the admission application.
  4. 4
    Submit all admission documents by the deadline and accept any admission offer while awaiting the scholarship decision.
  5. 5
    Applicants who submit an eligible BI Presidential Scholarship application are considered automatically and do not need another scholarship letter.
