BI Norwegian Business School offers this entrance scholarship to international applicants with strong grades who are admitted to a first Master of Science at campus Bergen. Awards rest on academic merit, not financial need.
Bergen hosts two MSc routes: Business with a major in Finance, and Leadership and Organisational Psychology. The current page covers programmes starting in autumn 2026; BI’s full-time application portal opens on 1 November.
Benefits & funding
- Full tuition for up to two years if progression rules are met; living costs are not part of the published award.
- Progression: 30 ECTS each semester and a cumulative “B” average or better after every semester.
- Recipients serve as BI Ambassadors, helping with recruitment and the study environment.
- BI awards only one scholarship per student; the award is tied to its programme and campus.
Eligibility
- International citizens who are not residents of Norway.
- International citizens with a Norwegian bachelor’s degree, or eligible for Norwegian tuition reduction or a Lånekassen loan, count as domestic and are not eligible.
- Minimum overall GPA of 4.0 on the ECTS scale; BI converts foreign grades.
- Seeking a first master’s degree, admitted to an MSc at campus Bergen starting autumn 2026, with the offer accepted.
- Holders of a bachelor’s from outside the Nordic countries must have taken the GMAT or GRE and an English test before 1 March, unless waived.

- 1Apply for admission to a Bergen MSc in BI’s online portal and request the scholarship in the same application; email applications are not accepted.
- 2Upload a CV and a one-page scholarship letter as one PDF in the Scholarship section.
- 3Submit the complete admission file by 1 March; late applications are not considered.
- 4Accept the admission offer; only then is the scholarship application assessed.
- 5Eligible BI Presidential Scholarship applicants are considered for this award too, with no separate letter.
