MARIHE is a 120-ECTS Erasmus Mundus Joint Master focused on higher education, research, innovation, governance, and leadership. The seven-university consortium delivers the programme full-time and on-site over four semesters.

All students begin in Krems and Tampere, then follow a specialization in Europe or Asia and complete a mandatory eight-week internship that may be undertaken worldwide. The September 2027 intake is open to applicants of all nationalities.

  • The EUR 18,000 participation cost is covered for every selected student through either an Erasmus Mundus scholarship or a consortium tuition-fee scholarship.
  • A limited number of Erasmus Mundus scholarships provide EUR 1,400 per month for up to 24 months, with a maximum value of EUR 33,600, as a contribution to travel, visa, installation, and living costs.
  • All selected students receive worldwide health and accident insurance meeting the programme’s minimum requirements.
  • Up to two additional consortium scholarships per intake may reimburse as much as EUR 6,000 in travel and visa costs for selected students from deprived or first-in-family backgrounds who do not hold an Erasmus Mundus scholarship.
  • Costs incurred before arrival in Krems must be paid in advance by the student and are not reimbursed by the Erasmus Mundus scholarship.

Eligibility

  • Applicants may be of any nationality and may come from any academic discipline.
  • Applicants must hold a first university degree representing at least three years of full-time higher education or 180 ECTS, such as a bachelor’s degree. Holders of a previous master’s degree may also apply.
