The LPDP Scholarship is run by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan), an agency under Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance. It funds Indonesian citizens to pursue master’s (S2) and doctoral (S3) degrees at leading universities in Indonesia and overseas, so they return to strengthen the country’s human capital. The 2026 Batch 2 window covers several tracks under one registration: STEM Strategic Industries (STEM Industri Strategis), SHARE for social-sciences and humanities disciplines, Kemitraan (partnership), Double Degree / Joint Degree, Kerjasama Khusus (special cooperation), and Non-Degree. Applicants pick the track that fits their field and study plan and apply through a single online portal.
Benefits & funding
- Full tuition fees for the awarded master’s or doctoral program.
- Monthly living allowance for the duration of study.
- Additional support commonly including health insurance, settlement/relocation allowance, and research or thesis/dissertation funding.
- Duration follows the normal length of the degree — roughly two years for a master’s and up to four years for a doctorate.
Eligibility
- Open to Indonesian citizens (Warga Negara Indonesia) only.
- Hold a completed bachelor’s (S1/D4) for master’s applicants, or a completed master’s (S2) for doctoral applicants, from an accredited institution.
- Meet minimum GPA and English-proficiency thresholds set for the chosen track and destination (overseas study carries higher language requirements).
- Age ceilings apply and differ by track and level (regular master’s and doctoral tracks are lower; affirmation and civil-servant tracks allow older applicants) — check the official 2026 guidebook for the exact cap that applies to you.
- Not currently holding another scholarship that would overlap with LPDP funding.
