Colby-Sawyer College offers the Live & Learn Local Scholarship to graduates of specified New Hampshire high schools. Recipients enroll full-time at the college in New London, live in campus housing and pursue a bachelor’s degree.

The scholarship covers tuition for eight semesters when its conditions are met. It replaces prior merit and incentive scholarships, while recipients remain responsible for housing, food and comprehensive fees.

  • Eligibility for additional financial aid through an annual FAFSA submission.
  • Housing, food and comprehensive fees are not covered.

Eligibility

  • Graduate from Franklin High School, Kearsarge Regional High School, Newport High School or Sunapee Middle High School.
  • Merrimack Valley High School and Proctor Academy applicants must be from Andover, New Hampshire.
  • Mount Royal Academy applicants must be from Newport, Sunapee, New London, Bradford, Newbury, Springfield, Andover or Wilmot, New Hampshire.
  • Live in Colby-Sawyer campus housing and pay the applicable housing and meal-plan charges.
  • Enroll in 12–18 credits each semester.
  • Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA, satisfy academic-progress standards, uphold academic honesty and remain in good standing under college policies.

    Complete Colby-Sawyer’s first-year online application or the Common Application and submit the required high school transcript and writing sample.
