Lincoln University established this scholarship for international students with strong academic records who will begin a bachelor’s degree at its campus in Lincoln, New Zealand. The award is available across Lincoln University bachelor’s programmes.

Recipients receive a tuition-fee credit over two consecutive academic semesters. Selection is based on academic excellence, defined in the regulations as a B grade or a cumulative GPA of at least 70% in the applicant’s entrance qualification or prior study.

Benefits & funding

  • NZ$5,000 credited to the recipient’s Lincoln University tuition-fee account.
  • Two payments of NZ$2,500, one at the beginning of each of two consecutive academic semesters after enrolment.
  • The award covers only part of tuition; recipients must pay the remaining fees.
  • The second payment depends on satisfactory academic progress, defined as a B grade or equivalent GPA of 5.0.

Eligibility

  • Be an international student who has not previously studied in an academic programme at Lincoln University.
  • Plan to enrol in a Lincoln University bachelor’s degree and meet its academic and English-language admission requirements.
  • Meet the immigration requirements for study in New Zealand.
  • Hold no other scholarship, bursary, or award while receiving this scholarship.
  • Current Diploma in University Studies students may also apply if they subsequently gain entry to a bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous recipients cannot apply again in later years.

Application process

    Apply for the intended Lincoln University bachelor’s programme and provide the supporting documents required for admission.

    Download and complete the scholarship application form linked from the official scholarship page.

    List prior academic study and attach supporting documentation, identify the intended Lincoln course, and disclose any other scholarship funding.

    Arrange for one referee to send a confidential reference directly to international@lincoln.ac.nz.

    Submit the completed form to the Lincoln University International Office by email or post by the deadline for the intended intake.
