Lincoln University established this scholarship to support academically strong international students who have not previously studied there. Recipients begin an undergraduate programme on the Lincoln campus in New Zealand.

Awards are based on academic merit. The scholarship is available for entry in Semester 1, Semester 2, or Summer School.

Benefits & funding

  • Up to ten scholarships are available, with the International Office able to make additional awards at its discretion.
  • Each award is NZ$3,000, paid once as a credit to the recipient’s Lincoln University tuition-fees account after enrolment is confirmed.
  • The award applies to the first commencing semester and may be carried forward once if the recipient defers to the next available intake.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be new-to-programme Lincoln University international students who are registered or plan to register in an undergraduate programme.
  • Applicants must not receive another scholarship, bursary, or award.
  • Applicants must meet the academic and English-language requirements for admission.
  • Applicants must meet the immigration requirements for study in New Zealand.

Application process

    Apply for an eligible Lincoln University undergraduate programme and obtain an offer letter.

    Complete and sign the IUGS application form, including previous academic study and any scholarship funding already received.
  3. 3
    Prepare a statement of purpose explaining the programme choice, career goals, and how the scholarship would help.
  4. 4
    Email the form, statement of purpose, and offer letter to international@lincoln.ac.nz by the relevant intake deadline.
