The Kupcinet-Getz International Summer Program is an annual research placement run by the Weizmann Institute of Science. Participants spend eight weeks in Rehovot as members of a research group, working on a theoretical or experimental project in mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, or the life sciences.
The program also includes cross-disciplinary lectures, a presentation workshop, and a concluding mini-symposium. Applications for the 2026 cycle closed on February 2, 2026.

Eligibility
- Current bachelor’s or master’s students, excluding PhD students, who have completed the first year of study may apply.
- Recent bachelor’s graduates considering further academic study may also apply, as may students in combined bachelor’s and master’s programs.
- Eligible fields are physical sciences, chemical sciences, life sciences, mathematics, and computer science.
- Applicants need a GPA of 3.6 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in their major subjects, fluency in English, and evidence of serious interest in scientific research.
- Previous research experience is advantageous but is not required.
- The program states that qualified applicants are considered regardless of national origin, age, disability, or gender; it publishes no nationality, residency, or age gate.

Application process
- 1Provide initial contact details on the official program page to receive the online application link by email.
- 2Prepare an English-language CV with a passport-sized photo, the passport title page, an authorized transcript, and a motivation letter of no more than one page.
- 3Select at least one and up to three participating Weizmann research-group heads in the online form.
- 4Submit the application and list at least one academic recommender; the system sends each recommender an individual upload link.
- 5Complete all materials by the deadline. Shortlisted applications are matched with participating scientists, and results are normally announced near the end of March.
