The INPEX Scholarship Foundation runs this annual in-person exchange for selected high school students from Indonesia, Australia and the UAE alongside Japanese high school students. Participants travel within Japan for about one week, combining university and school visits, community tours and daily discussions.
The 2025 cycle ran from 22 to 31 July in locations including Tokyo, Kamakura and Tsuruoka. Mixed-country teams explored research, sustainability and Japanese culture before presenting what they learned at INPEX. The 2026 cycle ran from 28 July to 6 August; the official site does not publish a public individual application form.
