POSTECH’s International Undergraduate Scholarships support students admitted through the university’s international undergraduate route in Pohang, South Korea. Every admitted international undergraduate receives a full tuition waiver for the first semester.
Continued tuition support may run for up to eight regular semesters if the student meets POSTECH’s academic criteria. Some non-tuition awards are limited to particular admission tracks or intakes.
Benefits & funding
- Full tuition is waived for the first semester; continued waiver support can cover up to eight regular semesters, subject to POSTECH’s criteria, including a previous-semester GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.3.
- For International Admissions I students entering in Fall 2026, POSTECH lists a KRW 500,000 monthly living allowance, including vacations, with no GPA condition.
- The same intake and track may receive actual one-way economy airfare and Korean ground-transport costs up to KRW 2,500,000 if the student had not lived in South Korea during the six months before the semester began, plus a one-time KRW 300,000 award for earning TOPIK level 4 or above during the semester.
Eligibility
- Be admitted as an international undergraduate through POSTECH’s international admissions route.
- The first-semester tuition waiver is automatic for admitted students; later tuition support requires POSTECH’s continuing academic standards.
- The living, arrival, and Korean-language awards have the intake, track, residence-history, or achievement conditions stated above.
