Qatar University’s International Students Scholarship supports new international students applying from outside Qatar to undergraduate programs in Doha. It is awarded competitively to applicants with outstanding academic performance.

The scholarship combines fee waivers, a monthly payment, housing, transport, airfare, and university sponsorship for residence. The Fall 2026 application period has ended, and the university has not announced the next cycle.

Eligibility

  • Open to new international applicants applying from outside Qatar for an undergraduate program.
  • Transfer students, visiting students, non-degree applicants, and applicants seeking a second bachelor’s degree are not eligible.
  • Applicants must hold a high school certificate or equivalent and have a minimum high school average of 95%.
  • Applicants must receive final, unconditional admission and meet the admission requirements of their chosen college.
  • The scholarship cannot be combined with another scholarship or sponsorship.
  • Recipients normally begin in the awarded semester; a one-semester deferral requires scholarship committee approval.
  • To retain the award, recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0, complete at least 12 credit hours each semester, register continuously in fall and spring, and finish within the period set by their study plan.

Application process

    Submit the undergraduate admission application and select the scholarship in the Scholarship Application section during the announced window.

    Provide the documents required for admission; the scholarship itself requires no additional documents.

    Send the original high school transcript and required admission documents during the international application period to the Admissions Department, Qatar University, P.O. Box 2713, Doha, Qatar.

    Qatar University evaluates applications after the deadline and sends an initial conditional acceptance to nominated applicants.
  5. 5
    After admission, the university arranges the visa process and sends final admission and scholarship decisions by email.
