The International Leader Scholarship is an application-based entrance award administered by the University of Alberta. It recognizes well-rounded applicants with superior academics and leadership across school, community, extracurricular or workplace settings.
Applicants first apply to a UAlberta undergraduate degree, then complete the university’s shared entrance-scholarship applications. The award supports in-person undergraduate study in Canada and may provide up to CAD 15,000.

Eligibility
- High school applicants entering directly into a University of Alberta undergraduate degree may complete the entrance-scholarship applications.

- Applicants must be students on a Study Permit; the university does not publish a country-specific nationality list for this award.
- Selection recognizes superior academics and leadership roles or accomplishments in school, community organizations, extracurricular activities or the workplace.

Application process

- 2Obtain a University of Alberta CCID after submitting the admission application.
- 3Sign in to the Awards Hub and complete both the General Application and Entrance Scholarship Application during the annual window.
- 4Submit by the entrance-award deadline; applications cannot be updated or reopened after it passes.
