The International Dispute Resolution Scholarship is run by the Kukin Program for Conflict Resolution at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (Yeshiva University) in New York City.
It goes to oralists, researchers and coaches from the current year’s international moot and mediation competitions, and pays toward tuition for the LL.M. in Dispute Resolution and Advocacy, the Advanced Standing J.D. or the J.S.D.
Benefits & funding
- US$10,000 per recipient, applied to tuition; up to 10 awards a year.
- LL.M. tuition for 2026–27 is US$77,602 a year, so the award covers only part of the cost.
- Dean’s Merit Scholarship holders may also apply; students funded through a Cardozo partnership with their home school may apply but cannot combine the two awards.
Eligibility
- Took part as an oralist, researcher or coach in the current year’s international dispute resolution competition (e.g. Vis Moot, IBA-VIAC CDRC, ICC or CPR mediation competitions).
- GPA of at least 3.5, or equivalent, in legal studies.
- Interest in mediation or arbitration shown beyond the competition (seminars, workshops, publications).
- No nationality or residence restriction is stated.
