The International Admission Scholarship is an admission-based award from the University of Alberta for international high-school applicants starting an undergraduate degree at its Edmonton or Camrose campuses.
There is no scholarship form: applicants are assessed when they apply for admission, and the university contacts eligible students directly. Fall 2027 applications opened on October 1, 2026.
Benefits & funding
- Up to CAN $10,000, the amount set by admission average (scholarships page).
- The 2026–27 handbook for international high-school students already in Canada lists it at up to $5,000.
Eligibility
- International (non-Canadian) applicants to a University of Alberta undergraduate degree; every nationality except Canadian.
- Eligibility rests on the high-school admission average at the time of the admission offer.
- Applicants must meet their program’s course, competitive-average and English-language requirements.

- 2Pay the non-refundable CAD $150 application fee for new applicants; no waivers are granted.
