INSEAD AMPA Endowed Scholarship for Africa — Master's Scholarship

INSEAD administers this endowed scholarship, established by the AMPA Foundation with support from Luc Van Schil MBA’81. It supports qualifying candidates entering INSEAD’s one-year, full-time MBA, whose starting campus is Fontainebleau or Singapore. Two scholarships are awarded each year.

The award seeks to increase representation of Sub-Saharan African participants. The donor hopes recipients will later support entrepreneurship and investment in African SMEs through the AMPA Foundation’s advisory network.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of one of these Sub-Saharan African countries: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.
Applicants must have spent a substantial part of their lives and completed part of their prior education in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Applicants must require financial assistance.
Applicants must have been admitted to the INSEAD MBA or already submitted an MBA application.
INSEAD does not make an undergraduate degree compulsory for MBA admission; applicants without one need an excellent career record and GMAT score. INSEAD also states that MBA admission has no age limit and publishes no hard work-experience minimum.
