The IESE Young Leaders in Emerging Markets Scholarship is a merit-based award from IESE Business School for Master in Finance applicants. It supports outstanding candidates who live and work in a developing country.

Recipients join the full-time MiF based in Madrid, with a module in New York and a week in London, followed by a mandatory internship. The academic phase lasts nine months and the internship lasts at least three months.

Benefits & funding

  • IESE provides scholarship support for the MiF, but the current page does not publish the award amount, number of awards or whether it covers all or part of tuition.
  • For cost context, tuition for the September 2027 intake is €55,500; travel and accommodation for the New York module and London week are additional costs.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must live and work in a developing country; IESE does not publish an eligible-country list.
  • Applicants must qualify for the MiF, which is designed for students completing or recently completing an undergraduate degree and accepts up to two years of full-time work experience.
  • IESE seeks strong academic performance, quantitative ability and English proficiency, with a GMAT, GRE or IESE Test score required.
  • IESE states no separate nationality, gender or age restriction for this scholarship.

Application process

    Submit the online MiF application and include the required scholarship cover letter.

    Upload the application form, transcripts, test scores, CV, English evidence when required, one recommendation, mandatory essays and a passport-style photo, and pay the €120 application fee.

    Complete an English-language interview, held virtually or at IESE’s Madrid campus.
  4. 4
    IESE normally communicates the admissions decision within four to six weeks and reports the scholarship decision upon acceptance.
