The IESE Technology & Innovation Scholarship supports incoming IESE MBA candidates with a strong science or technology background. It is intended for professionals who can drive innovation and technological progress in their communities.
Recipients join IESE’s full-time MBA in Barcelona, with overseas options, on a 15- or 19-month track. Scholarship applications are submitted with the MBA application and considered only after admission.
Benefits & funding
- IESE states that individual MBA scholarships typically cover 10% to 50% of tuition; it does not publish a separate amount for this scholarship.
- Living expenses are not covered.
- The MBA scholarship committee selects the scholarship category ultimately awarded.
Eligibility
- Applicants must seek admission to the IESE full-time MBA and hold an undergraduate degree.
- A strong science or technology background and the potential to advance innovation in the applicant’s community are central to this scholarship.
- Relevant expertise may include big data, digital transformation, programming or artificial intelligence.
- GMAT or GRE results are mandatory for MBA admission; an English test applies unless the stated exemption conditions are met.
- IESE recommends three to ten years of work experience but does not state this as a hard minimum or maximum.
- IESE states no nationality, residency, gender or age restriction for this scholarship.

Application process
- 1Complete the IESE MBA application with the required transcripts, CV, tests, recommendation, essays and Kira video essays.
- 2Submit one scholarship essay within the MBA application and indicate up to three scholarships relevant to your profile.
- 3Apply in one of the four MBA rounds; the scholarship committee reviews candidates once per round and determines the award category.
- 4Await the scholarship result, normally issued with the admission decision or within two weeks afterward; an application may roll into a later round.
