IESE Leaders in Emerging Markets Scholarship supports outstanding professionals who live and work in a developing country and pursue IESE’s full-time MBA. The MBA is taught in person in Barcelona, with overseas options, and can be completed in 15 or 19 months.
The scholarship is considered through the MBA application and only after admission. IESE’s September 2027 intake is open across four application rounds.
Benefits & funding
- IESE states that individual MBA scholarships typically cover 10%–50% of tuition; it does not publish a separate amount for this scholarship.
- Living expenses are not covered.
- The September 2027 MBA tuition is €117,000, before any scholarship.
Eligibility
- Live and work in a developing country; IESE does not publish a country list for this scholarship.
- Apply to and be admitted to IESE’s full-time MBA.
- Hold an undergraduate degree and submit a valid GMAT or GRE score.
- If the applicable English exemption does not apply, submit an accepted English-language test.
- IESE recommends three to ten years of work experience but does not state it as a minimum requirement.

Application process
- 1Complete the IESE MBA application for one of the four published rounds.
- 2Select up to three scholarships in the MBA application and submit the required scholarship essay.
- 3Upload the required documents, pay the €200 application fee and complete the four Kira video questions by the round deadline.
- 4Complete the interview and any invited Assessment Day; the Scholarship Committee considers funding only after MBA admission.
