IESE Business School runs the annual Future Female Leaders Award (FFLA), launched in 2023 for young women professionals who reflect its mission.

Awardees spend three days on IESE’s Barcelona campus around the Women in Business Conference. Those who later apply to, are admitted to and enroll in the Full-Time MBA, and are top performers in that process, may receive an FFLA scholarship. The 2027 edition takes applications until October 28, 2026.

Benefits & funding

  • Past awardees received €5,000–€50,000 on enrolling in the Full-Time MBA.
  • Two nights’ shared hotel in Barcelona (for those living outside the Barcelona area) plus meals.
  • Up to €300 flight reimbursement after the event for travelers from outside Europe and the UK; others pay their own travel.
  • MBA application fee waiver; the award does not guarantee admission.

Eligibility

  • Women professionals; no nationality or residence restriction is published.
  • IESE seeks 2–10 years of work experience; the 2026 call said candidates slightly outside that range could still apply.
  • Not currently enrolled in or committed to another business school; IESE alumni and current students cannot apply.
  • Must attend in person in Barcelona; there is no online option.
  • The scholarship also requires Full-Time MBA admission, which needs an undergraduate degree, English proficiency and a GMAT or GRE score (not needed for the FFLA itself).

Application process

    Submit the online FFLA application, a written essay and a video essay, by October 28, 2026, 23:59 CET.

    If selected, send proof of travel purchase by December 11 to confirm your place.

    Attend the three-day program in Barcelona.

    For the scholarship, apply separately to the Full-Time MBA with its one scholarship essay; the FFLA outcome does not affect the MBA decision.
