IEEE Women in Engineering

Application Deadline

Rolling admission

Official Page

The IEEE WIE Travel Grant Program reimburses eligible IEEE Women in Engineering members for attending and presenting at IEEE-sponsored conferences or IEEE WIE-sponsored events. The applicant chooses the event; there is no single host city or country.

The program uses event-month deadlines and requires in-person attendance. Successful applicants complete post-event reporting before reimbursement.

Benefits & funding

  • The grant reimburses eligible travel costs up to US$750 after the approved event is attended in person.
  • Reimbursement requires a completed post-event report with photos and an expense report with receipts within 30 days after the event.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be current IEEE WIE members in at least their second consecutive year of WIE membership.
  • The trip must support attendance and presentation at an IEEE-sponsored conference or attendance at an IEEE WIE-sponsored event.
  • A recipient may receive this travel grant only once in any 12-month period, and only one author per conference paper may receive it.
  • IEEE WIE International Leadership Conference, IEEE Regional Annual General Meeting, and IEEE WIE International Leadership Summit are ineligible.
  • The published rules state no nationality, residency, degree, age, or gender restriction.
