The IE and JLL Design Wonder Award is jointly run by IE School of Architecture and Design and JLL for candidates pursuing IE’s Master in Interior Design in Madrid. The in-person program lasts 10 months and combines interior-design study with JLL course input and practical industry perspectives.

The latest published cycle offered nine places for the September 2026 intake and closed on April 30, 2026. It was the second year of a three-year initiative, but the partners have not published an exact opening date for the next cycle.

Benefits & funding

  • The award covers the Master in Interior Design tuition; IE currently lists that tuition at €34,000.
  • Recipients remain responsible for the €1,200 IE Foundation contribution, the €150 non-refundable program application fee, any place-reservation fee, and travel, accommodation, and personal expenses.
  • Nine award places were available in the latest cycle, with three reserved for JLL employees.
  • JLL may offer selected graduates a suitable opportunity after successful completion, but no role or duration is guaranteed.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must pursue admission to IE’s Master in Interior Design and hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Award candidates submit evidence of academic excellence in design fields, creativity, and innovation.
  • The award page publishes no nationality or residency restriction and describes the search as global.
  • Three of the nine places are reserved for JLL employees; the remaining places do not state an employment requirement.
  • No work-experience, age, or gender gate is published.

Application process

    Create an account in IE’s online master’s application portal and apply to the Master in Interior Design.

    Upload the program materials, including degree evidence, transcripts, CV, design portfolio, references, personal statement, passport materials, and English evidence when required, then pay the €150 application fee.

    Email ad.recruitment@ie.edu a maximum 500-word fit abstract, CV, and PDF portfolio for award consideration.

    Complete the program application and award submission by April 30 and successfully finish the IE admissions process by May 15 for the published 2026 cycle.

    If shortlisted, follow the committee instructions; the award page says shortlist notices are issued on a rolling basis within one to three weeks.
