Halcyon, a Washington, DC accelerator, has run its Latin America & the Caribbean (LAC) Climate Accelerator since 2023 for founders building climate adaptation and resilience ventures in the region.
Each cohort of up to 10 ventures spends about six months in hybrid programming. The 2026 cycle ran February–August 2026, with week-long residencies in Bogotá and Medellín, Colombia. It has finished, and no 2027 call is published yet.

- US$6,000 equity-free stipend per venture, paid in instalments, including before the residencies and after the program.

- Working MVP with realistic potential to scale, shown through user feedback, pilots, letters of intent or revenue.
- A climate adaptation or resilience solution; mitigation-only ventures are out of scope.
- Contributes to at least one UN Sustainable Development Goal.
- Applicant is the CEO or main decision-maker; up to one co-founder may join.
- Founders work full-time on the venture.
- Fluent English; at least 21 at program start.
- Commitment to every residency and session.
- Teams with a woman founder are encouraged, not required.

Application process
- 1Submit Halcyon’s year-round eligibility form, one per venture, covering all its programs; a venture whose form is rejected cannot reapply.
- 2If the venture fits an open call, Halcyon emails an invitation to a second-round application, due within two weeks.
- 3Finalists pitch virtually to an external Selections Committee (late December in the 2026 cycle).
