H.H. the Emir of Qatar’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence — Bachelor's Scholarship

This annual Qatar University scholarship supports high-achieving students entering a bachelor’s program on campus in Doha. It is limited to holders of the Qatari Secondary Education Certificate who graduate in the application year and earn at least 95%.

Applicants do not submit a separate application for this named award. They apply for the Admission Scholarship, and the committee competitively selects the highest achievers.

Benefits & funding

Exemption from tuition fees.
Exemption from textbook fees.
A monthly stipend of QR 1,000 for nine months in each academic year.

Eligibility

Be a new undergraduate applicant residing in Qatar for the Fall admission cycle.
Hold a Qatari Secondary Education Certificate with an average of at least 95%.
Graduate from secondary school in the same year as the scholarship application.
Obtain Qatar University admission and register for courses in the application term.
Not receive another scholarship or sponsorship at the same time.
To retain the award, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0, pass at least 12 credit hours each regular semester, remain continuously registered, and stay within the degree plan’s normal duration.
