Growth is Start-Up Chile by Corfo’s acceleration and co-financing program for expansion-stage, technology-based startups using Chile as a platform for global growth. It combines board sessions with corporate and investor connections to support capital raising, market entry, and specialist hiring.
The project runs for up to eight months in Chile, and the Team Leader must work on it full-time in Chile throughout execution. The latest BIG 12 application round closed on 25 May 2026; the official Growth page currently says applications will open soon but gives no date.
Benefits & funding
- Corfo co-finances up to 50% of the total project cost, capped at CLP 75 million, without taking equity.
- When the registered gender of the project leader is female, Corfo may co-finance up to 60%; participants provide at least 40% rather than 50%.
- Participant co-financing may combine new monetary contributions and eligible pre-existing or in-kind resources.
- The eight-month program includes board sessions and connections to corporate and investor networks; a reasoned request may extend project execution once by up to two months.
Eligibility
- Applicants may be Chilean or foreign natural persons aged 18 or older, or for-profit legal entities incorporated in Chile; the route-specific entity conditions in the Terms and Conditions also apply.
- The startup must be a global, technology-based project using Chile as a platform, with innovative features and high scalability potential.
- The project must have generated between 2,400 UF and 25,000 UF in sales during the 12 months before the call opens.
- The Team Leader must be a founder or partner, hold at least 10% of the relevant entity, work exclusively on the project, and remain in Chile throughout execution.
- Chilean legal-entity applicants must have initiated SII activities at least 24 and no more than 120 months before the call opens.
- Consulting and franchise projects are ineligible; former Growth participants must wait at least 24 months after their prior project ends before applying again.
- No nationality, residency-at-application, degree, or gender restriction is stated; the in-program presence requirement still applies to the Team Leader.

Application process
- 1Read the current call’s Terms and Conditions and confirm the correct natural-person or Chilean legal-entity route.
- 2Complete the Charly application form with participant backgrounds, the startup’s product, competition and differentiation, a scalable growth model, and an exponential-growth methodology.
- 3Provide a referee’s contact details and a password-free video of no more than 90 seconds covering the product, its innovation, the problem’s scope, and why the founding team is suited to execute.
- 4Corfo checks eligibility before expert judges and Start-Up Chile staff score the written application.
- 5Shortlisted Team Leaders attend a remote interview before the final committee decision.
