The Government Analytics Fellowship trains public officials to use the administrative and survey data their governments already hold to run administration better. The World Bank runs it with University College London, drawing on its Government Analytics Handbook.
Fellows stay in their jobs. Over six months they attend live online sessions, spend two weeks in Washington, D.C. at the Public Institutions Conference and the Government Analytics course, and build one analytics project for their organization with expert mentors.

Eligibility
- Employed by a central government organization, including agencies.
- Mid-level manager or senior analyst (or equivalent) with authority to develop a government analytics project.
- Nominated by your organization; at most two fellows per organization.
- Prior tertiary-level coursework in statistics or related quantitative methods.
- Working proficiency in English.
- Able to travel to Washington, D.C. for the in-person weeks.
- No nationality restriction. Graduate students, faculty members and private or non-profit staff are not eligible.

Application process
- 1Write a CV of up to three pages, in English, showing your statistics or quantitative coursework.
- 2Write a 150-word summary of the government analytics project you would run.
- 3Get an endorsement letter from your organization nominating you, confirming your position and backing the project.
- 4Upload all three through the online form by the late-September deadline (28 September in the last cycle); no exceptions for late documents.
