Global-MINDS is a 120-ECTS, English-language Erasmus Mundus joint master in social, cultural, and health psychology. The Global-MINDS Consortium delivers it across the University of Limerick, ISCTE–University Institute of Lisbon, SWPS University, and the University of Oslo. Students complete full-time coursework at two universities in year one, then an internship and master’s thesis in year two.
Applicants rank three mobility paths: Culture & Diversity, Mobility & Society, and Inclusion & Health. The 2026–2028 application cycle is closed, and the next call has not been announced.
Benefits & funding
- Ten full scholarships cover participation costs, provide a €2,400 pre-payment before the first semester, and pay €1,300 per month for 24 months.
- Fifteen partial scholarships cover participation costs but not accommodation, travel, or living expenses.
- Self-funded participation costs are €9,000 for EU nationals and €18,000 for non-EU nationals for the full two-year programme; living and travel costs are separate.
- Applicants request Erasmus Mundus funding and explain the need in the same supporting statement used for programme admission.
Eligibility
- Applicants from every country may apply, and the programme has no age limit.
- Applicants need a 2.2 honours undergraduate degree at Irish Level 8 or an overseas equivalent, with at least 100 ECTS or equivalent experience in psychology and research methods.
- Current first-cycle students may apply with proof of enrolment, available transcripts, and an expected-completion declaration; admission remains conditional on presenting the degree before enrolment.
- Non-native English speakers must demonstrate English proficiency meeting University of Limerick requirements.
- Previous Erasmus Mundus scholarship recipients are not eligible for Global-MINDS Erasmus Mundus funding, although the site asks recipients from before 2021 to contact the programme for guidance.

Application process
- 1Complete the common online form for scholarship and self-funded applicants during the application window.
- 2Enter the Irish equivalence of qualifications, CV details covering work, volunteering, internships, and research, and a personal statement of no more than 20,000 characters.
- 3In the statement, explain motivation, relevant experience, career fit, mobility-path preferences, and whether Erasmus Mundus funding is requested. Provide contact details for two referees.
- 4If shortlisted, use the University of Limerick link to upload qualification records, identification, English translations, and proof of English proficiency where required, all as PDFs.
- 5Complete an interview if invited; final admission and funding decisions are then sent by email.
