The Glisten National Student Council is a school-year youth leadership and engagement program for U.S. high school students. Members strengthen advocacy skills, build community across the country, and bring student perspectives to Glisten’s programs, resources, processes, and strategy.
The council centers work on safer and more inclusive schools. Members also deepen their practice around racial, gender, and disability justice through youth-directed advocacy and projects.
Benefits & funding
- Accepted students receive a $1,000 stipend.
- Members gain leadership, organizing, advocacy, and advisory experience.
- The cohort provides a national peer community and opportunities to shape Glisten’s work.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be current U.S. high school students in grades 9–12.
- LGBTQ+ students and allied students may apply.
